An easy 50 minute drive from Launceston, on the North East Coast of Tasmania, Weymouth is a seaside destination surrounded by beautiful undulating rural properties...sheep, cattle, vines.... with views of Mts Arthur and Barrow on approach.

Wildlife're sure to see birds of prey, echidnas, wombats and wallabies, perhaps dolphins and pelicans and if you're lucky, the elusive Tassie Devil.

Surrounded by some of Tasmania's premium vineyards and cellar doors, there's ample opportunity to find a good drop to share at the shack.

Great for peaceful getaways or for families…there’s lots to explore!

Swimming at the beach or in the river, a calm, sheltered alternative.

Heavenly beach and river walks, with an extensive network of tracks, suitable for cycling too.

Kayaking, SUPing (stand up paddle-boarding), boating, fishing, tennis.

BBQ on the river’s edge.

Wineries abound in the area, many with cellar doors, wine tasting and platters of tasty treats. Some of our favourites include:

Delamere Vineyard…rose and pinot noir are something special

Clover Hill at Lebrina… for their sparkling wines, incredible architecture of the cellar door and views across the vines and out to Bass Strait

Bay of Fires Wines… their riesling and rose are particularly good

Jansz… sparkling wines

World class golf in the dunes at Barnbougle and Lost Farm, along with restaurants, bars, lounge and spa treatments

Bridport Distilling Co, a small batch, boutique distillery located in the seaside town of Bridport

Bridport Cafe for breakfast or lunch

Counter meals at the Tam O’Shanter Golf Club, on Friday nights.

Bridestowe Lavender Estate

Derby, just over 60 min drive, a gorgeous historical village with the world renowned Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, including family friendly trails around the scenic lake. Great cafes, beer gardens.

Little Rivers Brewing Company, Scottsdale: beer tasting.
