A place to truly relax and rejuvenate, drift Beach Shack is set in the idyllic seaside hamlet of Weymouth, North East Tasmania, and is just minutes from the beach and sheltered shores of the river.

Drift away from it all, escape the everyday and immerse yourself in nature ...wander aimlessly along the sand, up the river and along innumerable tracks through the native bushland reserve.

Life slows here, allowing space for calm, serenity, healing.

Enjoy ocean views through the trees rising from this private garden of succulents and coastal natives.

Cooler temps coincide with the sun slung low in the winter sky, drenching the shack and its deck in sunlight from dawn to dusk. As the sun fades, rug up to enjoy long beach & river walks, and return to the cosy haven of the shack and its wood-fired heater.

Ocean waves lapping at the shore, fire crackling....lulling you to sleep.

Warm sunny days call for long swims in the crystal clear waters, snorkelling around the rocks and SUPing along the river.

Perfectly positioned to access the highly acclaimed cool climate wines of the Tamar Valley wine region, world renowned golf courses and mountain bike trails.

THE SPACE

A sophisticated blend of mid-century and coastal style, along with a touch of boho...drift Beach Shack has been lovingly restored to maintain the iconic architecture of the modernist era, while adding warmth and interest through texture and natural materials in its soft furnishings, lighting and art.

TESTIMONIALS

“The decor was outstanding and had all the amenities we needed. The perfect location for a relaxing weekend.”

“Thanks Karen for a lovely stay. We loved the record player and selection of books. The 50's Shack is a step back in time and we loved it. The local area and beaches were outstanding. Only wish our stay was longer.”

“We had a blissful time, so relaxing, with such an old school holiday feel. All the little touches were very much appreciated .… Going between the beach in the morning and the river in the afternoon was perfect for us and our kid, … We loved the whole vibe. … Sparkling clean and a very well equipped kitchen made it feel like home.”

“Our family has such an amazing two nights away at this retrotastic shack!!! Karen has styled the property beautiful with so many beautiful touches that made the stay incredibly relaxing! Just a short stroll to the beach or river and plenty of things to keep the kids occupied! It was lovely to be greeted at the property too! The lack of tv was a hit with our kids, as is gave them the chance to play and for us to re-engage as a family! Our perfect idea of what a shack should be... we loved everything and it was one of our favourite Air b&b stays so far!!! Thank you!!!
